We will be downstairs in Rooms 8 and 9.

What we will be doing:

• Menu Planning for Wah-Wah-Tay-See Campout

What we will be doing:

• Orienteering: How to Use a Compass, Measuring Paces
• Sign up for Lost Lake Campout

We will be going on a 10 mile day hike on Saturday. The scouts need to remember to bring a day pack with the following items:

1 QT Water Bottle
Compass
Personal First Aid Kit
Matches
Lunch, something hot to be cooked on the trail. Ramen noodles with chicken is a suggestion.
mess kit & utensils
Backpack stove, if you have one. The troop has a couple that can be shared.
Raincoat or poncho, in case of rain
Waterproof hiking boots, no sneakers.

In addition, each scout needs to bring a gallon jug of drinking water. The troop will be bringing water jugs for cooking and cleaning.

The troop will be providing steak & cheese sandwiches for dinner on Friday.
The food buyers, Jake and Matthew, need to add chips, drinks and a dessert, if desired, to their food lists.

Scouts are to be at the church parking lot at 3:30pm on Friday. We are planning on leaving by 4:00pm.

The Ziti Dinner is Saturday, March 7, 2009 from 5-7pm
Scouts should arrive at 3pm to help set up.
Scouts should wear their class B uniform and troop hat
Scouts should also bring a dessert

What you need to do to prepare:

• Think of Merit Badges you would like to take
• Think of places you would like to go camping in the fall
• Return troop equipment from the Klondike Derby

Cub Scouts will be joining us from Pack 198

What we will be doing:

• Final Klondike Prep

• Merit Badges for the spring

• Possibly Wilderness Survival MB

What you need to do:

• Think of Merit Badges you want to take (MBs don’t have to be eagle required)
• Bring $10 for food if you are going on the Klondike
